What is Broncos Blitz?

Broncos Blitz is an independent publication covering Denver Broncos news and Denver Broncos opinion, as well as NFL opinion, launched in October 2025 by Rich Kurtzman.

This newsletter gives unique, long-form content to Denver Broncos die-hards with the hopes of evoking wonder and excitement for football. I look to write not just about what happened, but why it matters.

I also draw all the main photos for articles by hand. Never with AI.

As a born and raised Denverite, I've been a Broncos fan my entire life. I also attended Colorado State University, and started writing on the Denver Broncos and Rams in 2011. I have been credentialed by the Broncos and CSU football and men's basketball teams and was on the Colorado State beat from 2011-2018 when I was moved to Broncos coverage for Mile High Sports. I was the lead editor of Mile High Sports for three years, and eventually moved down to a part-time role.

Current Goals: Subscriptions Needed

The readership and subscriptions in the first three months of the newsletter have been overwhelmingly positive and unexpectedly great. For that, I say thank you.

But more paid subscriptions are needed right now to accomplish two goals:

Paid subscriptions keep Broncos Blitz going. I'm looking to pay for hosting and site fees using paid subscriptions.
Licensing photos. I'd love to be able to license some professional photos to go with articles.
