Ranking Schedule Release Videos: Chargers Best, Broncos Surprisingly Good
The Chargers schedule release video was best in the AFC West and NFL. Ranking the rest of the division's videos.
Every year, the LA Chargers schedule release video is the best in the entire NFL. And this year's no different.
They went with a Halo theme, which seems weird and out of place, until you see what they did with it.
Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos schedule release video was better than expected, the Kansas City Chiefs was so-so, and the Raiders was meh.
That's right, I took time to watch all four schedule release videos so you don't have to. And ranked them!
Ranking Schedule Release Videos: Chargers was Best in AFC West
The NFL is trying to make the schedule release become an offseason staple like the NFL Draft. But it won't. It's even more boring than the Draft, which has dropped off in viewership, at least compared to 2025.
And while some diehard NFL fans are stoked for the release, the only good part about it is the silly schedule release videos.
It's the offseason and it's raining cats and dogs today in Fort Collins, so here's your definitive schedule release video rankings for the AFC West.
1. LA Chargers
The Chargers are GOATed at this point. In 2024, they did a Sims schedule release video which was great, and then they did a Minecraft theme, which was for the Gen Z kids I guess.
But they went back to the Millennial roots this year for Halo. And it was great.
There were some inside jokes, and the way they did Bo Nix was pretty hilarious. A Chargers Halo character threw a sticky grenade that landed on Nix's right ankle, blew up, and threw him from the map.
Then, fast forward to Week 18 and Nix's carcass falls from the sky where "Jarrett Stidham" is standing, scared, and gets annihilated. All I can think from that is the Chargers better hope Nix is out for one of their games because they're going to need all the help they can get. It's also a funny low blow from LA when Justin Herbert was hurt down the stretch last year and is now 0-3 in playoff games while Nix is 1-1.
There were a ton of inside jokes, like using the Colorado Avalanche logo when they talked about the Rams—their front office guys were wearing Avs jerseys during the NFL Draft—and Puka Nacua getting yelled at by teammates for going live in the locker room.
10/10, no notes. The Chargers schedule release video wins the internet again.

2. Denver Broncos
The Broncos have been using Peyton Manning for their schedule releases for a few years, and this time he included his daughter.
The premise was a dad and daughter watching TV at home, channel surfing, and we got a bunch of little easter eggs.
For instance, Jake Plummer—Denver Broncos quarterback from 2003-2006—was a conspiracy theorist talking about DIA. Then, there was Aqib Talib selling chains, a reference to stealing Michael Crabtree's chains.
They also clowned Chiefs bandwagon fans. Notice, the Chargers weren't even worth mentioning.
Honestly, it's hard for anyone to live up to the absolute cinema the Chargers have been putting together for years. And I love Peyton Manning, but his schtick has worn thin a bit as of late.
But I think the Broncos did a great job overall talking some trash about opponents and bringing in former players.
Speaking of the Broncos 2026 schedule, it's a murderer's row of opponents to start the season. Denver plays five playoff teams from last year in their first six games, and the other opponent is the Chiefs in Kansas City.
They'll have to be happy with a 3-3 start considering all the difficult teams they face.

3. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs went with an infomercial as their premise, with Rob Riggle—a self-proclaimed Chiefs superfan—and Lisa Gilroy, a fellow comedian.
Overall, it's pretty great. The two are going back and forth, portraying a formerly married couple. And the products are pretty funny.
It's just a little long overall for my taste.

4. Las Vegas Raiders
I still almost wrote "Oakland" there. They've moved so many times, from LA, to Oakland, and now to Las Vegas, who can keep track?
Plus, the Raiders are annually an afterthought in the NFL.
Their video was honestly not terrible, it was a play on "Stepbrothers" with Kirk Cousins and incoming rookie Fernando Mendoza playing the brothers from the film.
It was cute, I guess.
I'd also expect to see both of them play this year as the Raiders are again in the basement of the AFC West.
